    ABSTRACT:

Obturation is the most important step in the triad of endodontics. Carefully and properly achieved obturation will lead to the formation of “fluid tight seal” which is essential for the success of the endodontic treatment. Over the past decade, the science & practice of root canal therapy has changed dramatically on evidence based protocols to develop highly advanced obturation materials and techniques. Gutta percha with sealer is the most versatile obturating material. But it has very big disadvantage that it does not bond to the root canal dentin. To overcome this drawback, bonded resin materials where developed. Many parelling techniques, materials where developed to improvise the obturation of the root canal. They include heat, injection, vibration, compaction & carrier based system. In this article all the root canal filling materials and techniques available at present are discussed.

Introduction: The use of hrct has an established role in the detection and in the differential diagnosis of interstitial lung diseases (ilds). In selected cases, a specific hrct pattern suffices for the presumptive diagnosis, even in the absence of histological confirmation. The major abnormality in ilds is disruption of the lung parenchyma. Objectives: To Determine Frequencies Of Different Radiological Patterns Of Interstitial Lung Diseases On Hrct. Study design: Cross-Sectional Survey. Setting: Department Of Diagnostic Radiology, King Edward Medical University/Mayo Hospital, Lahore. duration of study: Study Was Carried Out Over A Period Of Six Months From 16-05-2009 To 30-11-2009. subjects and methods: total 65 cases of interstitial lung diseases were included in this study. Hrct examinations were performed using 1.0- or 1.5 mm thick sections taken at 1 cm intervals throughout the entire lungs during inspiration in the supine position and through the caudal 10 cm of the lungs at 2–3 cm increments in the prone position. Results: the range of age was from 30 years to 70 years and mean age was 45.8±7.7 years. There were 23 (35.4%) males and 42 (64.6%) females. Hrct patterns were as follows: nodular 29 (44.6%), reticular 21 (32.3%) honeycombing 15 (23.1%). Conclusion: in this study, we have found out prevalence of different patterns of ild on hrct . Therefore, without surgical lung biopsy we can obtain prevalence of different disease on the basis of hrct.

    ABSTRACT:

Energy consumption index is one of the most important criteria for judging about new, and emerging drying technologies. Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) drying is a novel method of non-thermal processing. The drying can be carried out using either AC or DC high voltages. The thermodynamic considerations regarding the lowering of temperature under EHD drying include rapid rates of evaporation and exothermic interaction of the electric field with a dielectric material. Multi-point and plate electrode systems are efficient in accelerating drying of agricultural materials. Compared to hot air (convective) drying systems, EHD drying systems offer lower food production costs along with superior quality in terms of physiochemical properties such as color, shrinkage, flavor, and nutrient content. This paper presents briefly the nature of ElectroHydroDynamic (EHD) phenomena, and details on the mechanisms of moisture movement inside the solid and its evaporation at the exposed solid surface during drying of solids. Choosing the data presented in literature, a critical discussion is presented on the advantages and limitations of EHD drying of food materials.

Introduction: The mucocele is one of the most common benign soft tissue masses that occur in the oral cavity. Mucoceles (mucus and coele - cavity), by definition, are cavities filled with mucus. Two types of mucoceles can appear – extravasation type and retention type. Diagnosis is mostly based on clinical findings. The common location of the extravasation mucocele is the lower lip and the treatment of choice is surgical removal. This paper gives an insight into the phenomenon and a case report has been presented. Case report: Twenty five year old femalepatient reported with chief complaint of small swelling on the left side of the lower lip since 2 months. The swelling was diagnosed as extravasation mucocele after history and clinical examination. The treatment involved surgical excision of tissue and regular follow up was done to check for recurrence. Conclusion: The treatment of lesion such as mucocele must be planned taking into consideration the various clinical parameters and any oral habits as these lesions have a propensity of recurrence.

Water level indicator is widely used in many industries and houses. People generally worry about the wastage of water, when the switch ON the motor and forget to OFF them. An Water Level Indicator may be defined as a system by which we can get the information of any water reservoir .Water level indicator system are quite useful to reduce the wastage of water from any reservoir, while filling such reservoir. But for domestic purpose we cannot go for the instruments which use radar or ultrasonic principle that costs high. Water tank overflow is a common problem which leads to the wastage of water. In this project I am using the transistor based water level indicator circuit is very useful to indicate the water levels in a tank. Whenever tank gets filled, we get alerts on particular levels. The LEDs is generally used for indicate the water levels. If the water level is full, then the circuits beeps through the buzzer notifying that the water level is full.
