    ABSTRACT:

This paper discusses and highlights about concept of organizational change given by various authors. Typically, the concept of organizational change is in regard to organization-wide change, as opposed to smaller changes such as adding a new person, modifying a program, etc. Examples of organization-wide change might include a change in mission, restructuring operations (e.g., restructuring to self-managed teams, layoffs, etc.), new technologies, mergers, major collaborations, "rightsizing", new programs such as Total Quality Management, re-engineering, etc. Some experts refer to organizational transformation. Often this term designates a fundamental and radical reorientation in the way the organization operates. Change should not be done for the sake of change -- it's a strategy to accomplish some overall goal.

    ABSTRACT:

Introduction: We aimed to investigate the possible association between MS and hemogram parameters (RDW and MPV and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio). Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the files of MS patients. Hemogram parameters were evaluated between attack and remission period and with control subjects. For each group, leukocyte count (WBC), neutrophil count (neu), lymphocyte count (lym), Hemoglobin (Hb), Hematocrit (Htc), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), red cell distribution width (RDW), platelet count (PLT) and mean platelet volume (MPV) levels were recorded. Statistical analysis was performed. Results: 48 MS patients’ age and gender were not significantly different from 51 control subjects. There was no statistically significant difference between study and control groups in terms of WBC, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio, Hb, Htc, MCV and platelet count (all p>0.05). RDW was significantly increased in MS patients within attack period. MPV was also significantly increased in patients with MS compared to control subjects. We showed that only RDW was significantly decreased, others not changed, in study group in remission period compared to attack period (p<0.001). Discussion and Conclusion: This is the first report in literature that pointed an association between MS and hemogram parameters; RDW and MPV. We initially showed that, increase in both MPV and RDW may suggest the relationship with inflammatuary response in MS patients’ attack period. Secondly, RDW should be a good marker of treatment follow up for MS patients due to substantial decrease in remission period. Prospective studies with larger cohort are needed for the sake of more meaningful suggestions.

    ABSTRACT:

A comparison has been made between stream discharge values using the Current metre method and the Float method for a small river in Zaria. This was made in order to establish the most effective method for measuring stream discharge in a small river. Result observed from this study shows that the river discharges from the two techniques are similar and there is no statistical difference between the two. This means that both the current metreand the float method were both suitable for the stream discharge measurement on the stream channel. Although, the field observation shows that the float is of greater applicability and more advantageous for continuous discharge measurements since it can be used on either shallow or deep channel; the factor responsible for the less applicability is the major hindrance caused to the float by the vegetal growth which obstructs the float from reaching the gauging station from where the stream velocities were noted.

    ABSTRACT:

Introduction: Coeliac disease is an autoimmune mediated enteropathy. It initiatesin genetically susceptible individuals upon ingestion of proline and glutamine proteins, commonly found in wheat, barley and ray. CD is perhaps the only multifactorial autoimmune disease where the antigenic trigger is well known and studied. In our study we have evaluated the clinical, laboratory, histopathology data as well as anthropometric measurements of 112 children diagnosed with CD. Material and Methods: The study included 112 children diagnosed with CD in the department of pediatrics, in “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center, from 2010 to 2016. Thedata were collected during the first consultation with the patients and from the patient clinical records. The collected data are as follows: dermographic and anthropometric data, main complains of the patients, associated diseases, family history for CD etc. Besides these, data were collected from laboratory testing, hystopathology reports and duodenal biopsies. Results:The study included 112 children diagnosed with coeliac disease, out of which55.4%,(62 children), were females. The median age of disease outbreak was 7.16 ± 4.22 years. In 48.2% of the patients, the disease started at age 0 – 5 years. In 22.3% the disease started at age 6 – 10 years. Approximately ¼ of children diagnosed with coeliac live in the district of Tirana (25.7%), due to the high concentration of the population in this district. The main symptoms manifested by the patients are displayed in Table 7.From all cases we found only one asymptomatic patient. The most common complaints were weight loos/ short stature/ dystrophy, found in 26.8% of children; followed by chronic diarrhea in 13.4% of children. Abdominal pain was a complaint in 9.8%. We found anemia in 6.3 % of patients, vomiting in 5.4% and abdominal distension in 4.5%. 27.7 % of patients manifested a number of atypical, uncommon, symptoms of coeliac disease.51.8% or 58 children, about ¾ of them, had no associated diseases. Among all patients, 23.2% (26 children) had Type 1 Diabetes, 6.3% (7 children) had thyroiditis. Amongst patients with thyroiditis, 5 of them had also Type 1 Diabetes. In 26 children with coeliac disease we found other associated conditions such as epilepsy, autism. In 5.4% (6 children) a delay of expressive language was discovered. Some other uncommon conditions we encountered were gastropathy in 3.6% (4 children), various syndromes in 3.6%, ocular disorders in 1.8%, cardiac disorders in 1.8%, The duodenal biopsy was performed in 60% of the children. According to the histopathology reports in 13.2% of cases the intestinal mucosa resulted normal. 13.2 % resulted with stage M1 of coeliac disease. 20.8% resulted with stage M2, 28.3% resulted with stage M3a, 17% resulted with stage M3b and 7.4% with stage M3c.It is obvious that, in children affected by CD, the indicators of growth are delayed, according to the guidelines of World Health Organization (WHO). Children with CD are -0.8683 standard deviations under the optimal weight for age. They are – 1.3642 standard deviations under the optimal height for age and their BMI is – 0.3475 standard deviations under the optimal BMI for age. With regard to laboratory testing, we found low level of Hemoglobin in 39% of cases, low red cell count in 3.7%, low level of iron in blood in 64.9%, low level of MCV in 71.2%, increased level of AST in 55.1% and increased level of ALT in 14.7% of the children. Conclusion: For many a year coeliac disease was considered a disorder of the pediatric age, characterized by classic clinical manifestations such as steatorrhea and malabsorption. Though it is a frequent disease, CD is often undiagnosed and underestimated because of the variability of symptoms and heterogeneous clinical manifestations. From different studies, CD results under diagnosed in 1 – 3 % of general European population, both in adults and in children.Recognizing and understanding the various clinical presentations of CD allow us to establish an early diagnose, to start a gluten free diet as soon as possible, to achieve a normal growth and developent of the affectet children and to prevent the long term complications of the disease.

    ABSTRACT:

In recent years, organizations have come across complex databases due to the development of technology, the growth of databases and information technologies, and the use of widespread information technologies. If the data found in line with the needs of the institutions are managed successfully and effectively, it is obvious that the institutions and organizations will offer great advantages and opportunities in economic terms. Each action performed in the digital environment leaves a data record behind it. For this purpose, big data, science, data mining and text mining concepts, methods and usage areas were mentioned, and similar and different aspects of data mining and text mining were determined. Through this study, it is expected that the separation of data mining and text mining methods will accelerate the process of strategic decisions of institutions and organizations and provide the required support.

    ABSTRACT:

Vibration performance and energy harvesting potential of two in-situ stairs is evaluated using voltage output of an electromagnetic induction harvester prototype. First, the validation and benchmarking procedure is provided for a prototype electromagnetic induction harvester to assess 1) performance as a quantitative sensor for vibrations and 2) feasibility as a low-demand energy harvester. Secondly, the dynamic characteristics of two in-situ stairs are evaluated and compared to FEA and simplified analytical single-degree of freedom (SDOF) models. Lastly, the experimental dynamic response of the stairs is presented by using a single parameter: peak voltage response with the two-fold purpose of describing the performance and assessing the feasibility for energy harvesting. Using optimal mass and stiffness properties from previous research, the maximum voltage output under two time-history load cases reached 110mV per coil and was correlated to equivalent sinusoidal peak acceleration (ESPA) of 0.2% g for comparison to vibration criteria showing that both stairs are acceptable (< 1–2% g). Based on results, an improved harvester is being optimized for total power output, instead of only voltage.

Like other countries, in Niger porridge is the first complementary food for young children. At home, to make porridges, the use of flour or mixture of cereal-based flour of nutritional value remains to be desired. To make our contribution to the improvement of the quality of these flours, a flour enriched with seeds of cucurbits was produced. This flour is composed of a cereal (millet), leguminous (cowpea) and seeds of Cucurbitapepo and manufactured in an industrial environment to ensure the respect of the norms in the matter. After the tests at the factory and the analyzes in the laboratory, a recovery test is carried out on 3 malnourished children in an outpatient nutritional recovery center for the moderates. The mill-selected flour formula is made of 60% millet, 15% cowpea, 15% Cucurbitapepo seeds and 10% sugar. The calculated energy value is 438.58 Kcal and microbiological inferior to the standards. The weights of all children increased after 6 weeks, with a wei gain of between 1 and 3 kg. This can be used in nutritional recovery centers.

    ABSTRACT:

The regulation of restrictions on individual vehicles as one way of managing traffic control is regulated in Article 133 paragraph ((2) letter a of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (UU LLAJ) with the requirements of Article 133 paragraph (1). This limitation is emphasized in Article 60 paragraph (2) letter a with the criteria for the number of passengers and vehicle license plates Another limitation is the restriction of traffic control (Article 133 paragraph (3) of the LLAJ Law. , it actually raises legal problems in the form of obscurity and incompleteness in the way of restrictions on individual vehicles, conflicts or conflicts of legal norms on limiting individual vehicles and the use of restitution to traffic control as a levy in limiting individual vehicles that adversely affects constitutional rights as Article 28 D paragraph (1) of the Constitution 1945 so that raises problems from juridical, philosophical and theoretical aspects. This research is normative legal research using the Conceptual Approach, the Law Approach (Comparative Approach) and the Comparative Approach. The results of research on the regulation of restrictions on individual vehicles Article 133 paragraph (2) letter a LLAJ Law are required the expansion of the concept of vehicle restriction is not only in terms of its use but also in terms of ownership, therefore the vehicle restriction regulation as regulated in Article 133 paragraph (2) letter a LLAJ Law must be reformulated by paying attention to values, principles of formation or principle of content material systematically compiled by referring to the principles and principles in Law No. 12 of 2011 concerning the Establishment of Legislation and to be able to realize order and justice for traffic in Indonesia it is necessary to reformulate the method of restricting individual vehicles, provisions relating to type and Be advice on Tariffs for Restricting Individual Vehicles, Setting Objects for Restrictions on Individual Vehicles, Regulating Sanctions for Restrictions on Individual Vehicles, Regulating Enforcement of Vehicle Restriction.

    ABSTRACT:

The problem of human trafficking in indonesia inseparable from the history of the indonesia country in the past that is in the era of empires and colonization that growing important role of slavery as well as the tribute in the form of human being in particular women and children to the king in power or the colonist. The victim of human trafficking increase over the day, this condition is certainly contrary to the value of justice. Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning Prevention of Crime in Human Trafficking (UUPTPPO) only regulates victims in general but does not specify clearly the victims of women and children. This study is normative legal research using the Conceptual Approach and the Law Approach. The results of the study show that the responsibility of the state for victims of trafficking is not in accordance with the objectives of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. So that the responsibility of victims of trafficking from the perspective of human rights needs to be emphasized answer, namely institutions, laws and regulations related to human trafficking. Four dimensions of state responsibility for victims of trafficking, namely; (1) Prevention of Human Trafficking, (2) handling of victims, (3). Recovery of victims, (4). reintegration of victims. The concept of state responsibility for victims of Human Trafficking is the concept of passive service responsiveness because it is general in nature, while Human Trafficking is a special transnational crime that is thick with the dimension of crimes against humanity. The conclusion of this study is that there is a need to reconcile the protection of the national law against women and it is often a problem with the victim logical approach, besides that the government needs to optimize the state of the population, which is in fact the Protection and Corruption of Law No. 31 of 2014 in the absence of a loss, restitution and a group of people who were arrested.

    ABSTRACT:

Provisional contract for electricity and electrical installation was one of government’s provisional contracts. Goods/service provisional contract was done through selection process in tender project. Provisional activities would be announced online through provisional policy institution concerning the existence of regional government provisional activities which offer cooperation with third party. This contractual activities by the government often experience matters out of contract agreement in which government could terminated or delay the execution of inappropriate or out-of-contract activities, and this form of contract was not approached by agreement between both parties and thus considered to be unfair. In goods/service provisional activities there were also underhanded way in doing things particularly in the beginning of provisional activities, such as silent tender winner selection, unclear information during announcement, thus good intention has an important role in goods/service provision particularly in electricity for the village and electrical installation, to provide fair contract.

    ABSTRACT:

Disharmony (inconsistency) of laws and regulations is due to the existence of sectoral egos between ministries / institutions in the process of planning and legal formation. In 2016 15 harmonized draft laws, 64 draft Government Regulations and 7 draft Presidential Regulations. Regulation of land rights still raises many problems with regard to sectoral, departmental and local (regional) activities. In its assessment, this occurred due to a discrepancy between what was regulated by Law Number 5 Year 1960 concerning Basic Agrarian Principles Regulations (hereinafter referred to as UUPA) with other laws. The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of the implementation of various laws and regulations related to land and provide options for synchronizing / harmonizing so that the legal framework for land management in Indonesia is compatible with what is mandated by the constitution. The method used in this study is normative legal research using for approaches namely historical approach, statue approach, conceptual approach, and philosophical approach. This study uses primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Meanwhile, analysis of the subject matter and legal material was carried out in a descriptive analytic manner. This study concludes that there is still overlapping substance in natural resource regulation because each sector adheres to sectoral laws with the same degree of law. This overlap occurs because there is no one ministry / department authorized to coordinate natural resource related policies and their implementation. Sectoral laws whose publishing process through the legislature does not guarantee free from overlap, because the discussion of sectoral laws is carried out through commissions that are different according to their respective fields. Harmonization tasks that are charged to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights cannot always be expected to have maximum results due to various obstacles.

This study examines the simultaneous relationship between cash holdings and dividend policy, using a sample of 80 non-financial, anonymous firms for the period 2010-2014. The results show that cash holdings are determined by dividend, debt, firm size, profitability, cash flow and risk. The dividend policy is determined by debt, firm size and profitability. Taking simultaneity into account shows a positive causality between cash holding and dividend policy. This causality shows that simultaneity is crucial in the analysis of corporate liquidity and dividend policy.

    ABSTRACT:

The burgeoning challenges against the logic of regional integration in Europe, French fear of falling behind, concern about Germany’s predominance, the significance of Franco-German leadership, British detachment and the small-country syndrome of fear of hegemony (Dinani, 2014) cast the European Union (EU) as a model of integration in the spotlight of virulent academic debate. Even though the EU has stimulated the globalisation of socio-economic and environmental processes (Mesjasz-Lech, 2016), it has, equally, generated Euroscepticism and EURO scepticism (Riedel, 2016), particularly from the United Kingdom Independent Party (UKIP), France (Front National) and, to a lesser degree, the Czech, Hungary and many other EU Member States who show their dissatisfaction due largely to the EU integration policies which have created migration crisis (Nová, 2016; Horváth, 2016; Olejárová and Čajka, 2016), against EU’ demographic modeling (Šimpach and Pecrová, 2016), eroded European national and cultural identities (Nenička, 2016) and threatened the future of the EU. Although Britain reluctantly joined the EU in 1975 by a referendum, the UK’s prodigal ‘no-vote’ referendum on the 23 June 2016, targeted at Britain’s exit (Brexit) from the EU was not only perceived as a serpentine plot against the future of EU and, by extension UK, but also the Europe-Transatlantic Cooperation. The broad objective of the paper is to re-examine the strategic vision, policies and practices of the EU in the context of the politics of Brexit. The specific objective is to draw lessons from the Brexit and its impact on the future of Union to appraise EU as a global model of integration. With the theory of regionalism, we concluded that the EU as a global model of integration faced post-Brexit extinction in the event of lack of EU-UK compromise agreement which would undermine the future of Europe and Britain in global power and influence.

A mixture Uncariagambir Roxb (gambir) is often used by some communities in Indonesia and other countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia to treat inflammation and other treatments. Catechins as the main content of the gambir are allegedly powerful that have anti-inflammatory properties. The objective of this study was to determine the anti-inflamatory activity of catechins isolate of gambir on carrageen an induced paw edema in wistar male rats. Catechins of gambir were isolated by using partition method with ethyl acetate solvent. A total of 30 wistar male rats were divided into 5 groups. Tests of anti-inflammatory effects was done based on Winter's modified paw edema method. Rats were made to suffer inflammation by the injected with carrageenan 0.1 ml of 1 % (b/v) . The effect of paw edema in male rats was done 1 hour after administration of test preparation for 6 hours by using plethysmometer. A total of 3 groups were given catechins isolate per oral with a dose of 1 mg/kg,b.w, 10 mg/kg b.w and 100 mg/kg b.w respectively. Test preparations were suspended in Na-CMC 0,5 %. As positive control was used Na-diclofenac 5,14 mg/kg b.w and as negative control was used Na-CMC 0,5 %. Based on the results of statistical tests was obtained a dose of 100 mg / kg b.w gives the greatest anti-inflamatory effect, ie 59.19%. while for doses of 1 mg / kg, b.w and 10 mg / kg b.w also significantly different compared to negative controls (ρ≤0.05). The dose of 10 mg / kg b.w have same effect with dose 1% Na-diclofenac For anti-inflammatory.

    ABSTRACT:

In the critical areas of a hospital, the assistance provided by health professionals is focused primarily on the patient, however the attention to family members also turns out to be of great importance. The nursing staff is in charge of informing the family members about the care for their family member, how the unit works, the multidisciplinary team, how they should behave and what they can do for the patient during the visit. To date there are few studies that report data on the attention to families and the communication process of the nursing staff. In the present study, the perception of the nursing personnel about the communication process with the relatives of the patients admitted in the different critical areas (EMEA, UICA, UITA and UITP) of navy hospital was analyzed to estimate the reality of the healthcare practice of the nursing staff on this topic. The results revealed a quite evident difference between the female and male sexes of the nursing staff (71% and 29% respectively). The female group was found distributed among the four critical areas, while the male was found absent in the pediatric área (UITP). Nursing service communication was evaluated using the Scale “Nurse Activities for Communicating with Families (NACF)" questionary. The results of the questionnaire divided into three groups, were compared between the services that have more and less years of experience (UICA and EMEA) respectively). Despite the difference in years of experience, the communication of the staff of both services is similar, both of them practically never omit information about the treatment and care of the patient (UICA: 6.25% and EMEA: 0%), and they touch on religious topics, cultural (UICA: 31.25% and EMEA: 0%) and personal (UICA and EMEA: 0%), but not always. The results indicate that the personnel of the nursing service of the critical areas of navy hospital, regardless of their sex, age and years of experience, show the same interest on the topics to be dealt with the relatives of the patients who arrive in these areas.

    ABSTRACT:

The development of technology within the surgical field has made great advances in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. However, this effort to improve these aspects may condition the dehumanization of care directed to the patient. At this point, humanization has become a topical issue that worries health personnel, especially nurses, since they spend most of their time with the patient and since its inception has put human care into practice. The nursing professional as an integral part of the health team has been adapting to the changes according to the progress of science and technology, so that the care provided must be based on three dimensions: technical, environmental and human; which has been incorporating increasingly sophisticated and complex techniques that, at times, distance it from a vision of man as a person that should be valued. Human care involves values, willingness and a commitment to care, considering the term "care" as intersubjective, health process, disease, person and environment interaction, external factors that at some point may affect the committed care involved in humanized care. Assessing the user's perception, allows the hospital to obtain a set of concepts and attitudes in relation to the care offered, locating areas of opportunity and creating strategies for continuous improvement, minimizing the deficiencies that put at risk the satisfaction of the population user. The Mexican Health System, with the conviction of improving services and eliminating the lack of confidence that the population gives it, developed the National Crusade for the Quality of Health Services, which aims to reduce inequities among entities, institutions and levels of attention, thus taking the human resources of the same system, placing the nursing staff as a quality vector with attachment to the respect of human dignity, under ethical and scientific principles. The then Interinstitutional Commission of Nursing, established the System of Evaluation of the Quality of Nursing Services, managed from indicators, which would control the risk of unnecessary harm to the patient and identify their perception regarding the treatment received where the Naval Medical Center is participating to obtain the recertification of said hospital. Which adheres to the Patient Safety Model of the General Health Council, "Standards to implement the model in hospitals 2015" in the section Standard PFR.1 that talks about the rights of the patient. The objective of the present investigation was to determine the perception of the ambulatory surgical patient on the humanized care provided by the nursing staff of the ambulatory surgical area. Within the Hypothesis It was found that the humanized care provided by the nursing staff of the ambulatory surgery surgical area is moderately favorable. Material and Method: The study is of descriptive type of transversal cut, it was carried out in the Naval Medical Center from June to November of 2018. It was performed in a convenience study in surgical patients on an outpatient basis. The technique that was carried out was through the socio-demographic survey, and the instrument Perception of humanized care in nursing (PCHE) Likert scale form of 30 items applied with prior informed consent. The data analysis was through descriptive statistics in SPSS program version 21.0. Results: the majority of the users were of upper secondary education due to their technical career, the age of 51 to 60 years prevails, with predominance of the female sex, married and of the rightful beneficiary category. The service that has the largest number of surgeries per day scheduled by the ambulatory surgery area is the gastroenterology service followed by ophthalmology and general surgery. The perception of the outpatient surgical patient on the humanized care provided by the nursing staff, most of it is favorable, emphasizes the perception of the outpatient surgical patient on humanized care according to the affected dimension, since most of them have a perception moderately favorable, referred to the fact that the nursing staff does not offer encouragement when they do not shake hands; how favorable I confirm your data with the identification bracelet; At all times, he looks after his person, made him feel safe and protected, and a significant percentage perceives it as unfavorable given that the nursing staff expressed disinterest and annoyance when treating me. Conclusions: it is necessary to implement strategies, improvement plans and ongoing training in order to raise the awareness of nursing staff to apply good treatment to the patient from a human-based approach

    ABSTRACT:

The study examined the roles of periodic markets in fostering rural development in study area. Method of study was cross sectional survey and sources of data were primary and secondary sources. Random sample technique was applied to select six market out of the fourteen listed in the local government. Spatial and temporal patterns of markets were examined, figure 1. Data analysis was the use of likert scale weighted in the design of the questionnaires from (1-5) with (3.0) as criterion mean. Chi-square (X2) was used to test the hypothesis. Markets were held four and eight days, table 7 shows that the four days market generates about N1000000 (one million naira) per month, while the eight day market generates about N500, 000 (five hundred thousand naira). Null hypothesis (H0) was Accepted and the alternate hypothesis (H1) Rejected at values (7.8> X2 0.471). It implies that there was a statistical significant relationship between periodic market and the development of the sampled rural markets in the local government. The earnings from the markets creates chain multiplier effects on rural income growth which if encouraged by the government through the small and medium enterprise scheme (SMES) will boost the nation’s economy. Table 8 of the study shows responses of traders on ways of improvement of rural periodic markets operations. However, the result obtained as shown from the table indicates that all items 1-5 have their respective mean below the criterion mean (3.0) therefore the item statements validated was accepted by the traders as the ways of improvement of periodic market operations in the study area. Study recommends that rural farmers should be educated on new farming techniques to boost their crop yield and government to provide improved variety of seedlings and sensitization through agricultural extension officers of the local government to achieve desired results.

    ABSTRACT:

The study examined the problems of solid waste management in Yenagoa city Bayelsa State. Method of study was the cross sectional survey and proper identification of residential neighourhoods in the city for sampling. The data collection method was the primary and secondary sources. Analytical techniques used include; univariate and bivariate techniques and test of relationship were established between selected variables, such as between household size and the quantity of solid waste generated. The findings of the research were; residents of Yenagoa especially those dwelling in the high density areas pay extra fees to government contractors as well as private waste vendors for waste collection. The study also revealed that the major cause of waste piles on the streets and neighbourhoods apart from the residents’ high population, was the activities itinerant traders who come from the neighbouring Rivers and Delta States to do business in the city. The study revealed that lack of data on volume of domestic waste generated in the city led to the ineffectiveness of the contractors because they cannot match waste generation with evacuation. Most importantly, the study has also shown that there was no blue print or any defined system of solid waste management in the State. The study recommended immediate registration of all scavengers in the city and more youths made to engage in scavenging business as it was the case in Quezon city of the Philippines where the (Vincentian Missionaries, 2002) adopted the same programme to organize scavengers into community based material recovery centers thereby harnessing the waste picking and recycling skills of scavengers into a micro-entrepreneurship programme for youth empowerment. and further skills on safety for environmentally friendly technology of solid waste management. Other recommendations include; short and long term measures to adequately tackle the issue of solid waste management in the city.

    ABSTRACT:

In this paper we are trying to investigate the impact of public debt accumulation on the Egyptian public investment growth to ascertain the validity of crowding out theory. The research adopts Vector Error Correction Estimation techniques to determine the terrible nature of the relationship between public debt accumulation (both internal and external debt) and public investment growth in Egypt. We are using data covering the period 1981-2015 sourced from the Central Bank of Egypt and the World Bank data base. The results reveal that external debt, debt serving and exchange rate coefficient are significant at all levels indicating their strong negative impact on the public investment growth. Additionally we find a very low speed of adjustment mechanism of just 31% in the economy’s long-run equilibrium.

    ABSTRACT:

This paper examines term structure of future changes in inflation in Rwanda, using monthly Treasury bill rates spreads. Applying the dynamic vector autoregressive model, the results shows that the slope of the term structure is a good predictor of expected inflation and the yield curve provides some information on changes in inflation over periods. Confirming previous empirical findings in other countries. The implication from the findings suggest that monetary authorise should also uses the term structure of interest rate as an option of assessing inflation dynamics in Rwanda. This study relatively uses short period over which the analysis is done (TBR1t minus TBRt-1). The further study should examine the relationship between term structure and expected inflation using a broader spectrum of government securities as a longer history of data becomes available.

    ABSTRACT:

Potato crop is one of the most important vegetable crops. Potato tubers are the economic part used in human nutrition and at the same time the part used for multiplying. Tubers enter obligatory dormancy when they mature. The dormancy of tubers comprises a wide range of physiological and biochemical processes. The status and duration of dormancy depend on the genetic background, tuber's development stage, environmental conditions and operations during tuber's growth and storage. Abscisic acid and ethylene maintain the dormancy of the tuber. While gibberellins, cytokines, and indole acetic acid stimulate sprouting of tubers. Most studies on the dormancy of the tubers and the sprouting are very old and do not explain the mechanisms of dormancy regulation. Accordingly, we conducted this study with the aim of clarifying the mechanism of regulating the dormancy of potato tubers. Note:In this article we have relied mainly on some articles, (specially: CIP, 1989; Aksenova et al., 2013; Muthoni et al., 2014), which are mentioned in the references. So that they are linked, reformulated and developed in order to enrich the subject, which is of utmost importance to both farmers and researchers alike, and we hope that we have succeeded in reaching the desired goal.
