Introduction: Thornwaldt's cyst is defined as “an inconstant blind sac located above the pharyngeal tonsil in the midline of the posterior wall of the nasopharynx .It is usually a developmental abnormality where communication between pharyngeal endoderm and notochordal remnants persist. Case Report: 32 yr old male, presented with bilateral decreased hearing since 2 and half years, with no other ear symptoms. Audiogram showed bilateral Conductive Hearing loss, with Impedence audiogram showing bilateral type B curve.

Introduction:- The incidence of gunshot wounds to the face have been on a rise but still are rare compared to firearm injuries to other regions of the body. Such injuries can be devastating due to the presence of vital structures in the vicinity. We describe a rare case of retained bullet in the infratemporal fossa which presented with delayed onset facial palsy and was meticulously removed with the help of 0 degree endoscope.

We address a recent case where the forest officials found suspected flesh of nearly 10 peafowls and quills, bones with tissue remains of porcupine. Apart from quills, flesh and tissue bone mixture could not be differentiated on the basis of physical paramaters. Background: The calf muscles pump is the primary mechanism to return blood from the lower limbs to the heart. During exercise, the calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus) contract and compress the intramuscular and deep veins. Calf muscles pump efficacy is dependent on the power of the moving ankle joint and flexibility of these muscles. Presence of gastrosoleus tightness may affect, alter the efficiency of this muscle in venous return thereby influencing heart rate. So this study aims to evaluate effect of gastrosoleus stretching on heart rate in normal individuals.

Successful Outcome Of Pregnancy In A Case Of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss With Protein S Deficiency

We are presenting a case of fourth Gravida with history of previous three spontaneous late first trimester miscarriages. She was diagnosed with protein S Deficiency in non-pregnant state after screening for thrombophilia. The prophylactic therapy with low molecular weight heparin along with Aspirin was introduced from the 6th week of gestation after fetal cardiac activity was appreciated on ultrasound & continued for whole of the gestation. She underwent planned caesarean section at 38 weeks of gestation resulting in the delivery of a healthy male new born of 2.6 kg body weight.

The authors present one case of gall-bladder tumor diagnosed after laparotomy. The pathology analysis has given the diagnosis of gall-bladder primitive carcinoma. For this case, according to literature review, the authors present the diagnostic and therapeutic problems.so that they recommend the treatment of any diagnosed cholelithiasis as prophylaxis of gall-bladder carcinoma.

This study examined the congestion situations which include the length of stay (LOS) for admissions and discharges of male and female in-patients at Psychiatric Unit of Specialist Hospital (PUSH), Yola. Data were obtained from a secondary source and analyzed with EasyFit software, IBM-SPSS, TORA and MS-Excel.

Efficacy of respiratory muscle training on arterial blood gases on patients under hemodialysis

Background: Hemodialysis (HD) is a protein catabolic procedure. During dialysis the diaphragm as a skeletal muscle is affected by protein breakdown leading to its weakness and limitation of its movement and affecting the oxygenation. Objective: to find out the efficacy of Respiratory Muscle training on arterial blood gases in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Methods: This randomized clinical study was conducted on thirty patients of both genders undergoing hemodialysis, their age ranged from 35-45 years old. The 30 patients received respiratory muscle training.
