Arsenic mitigation approach in soil by some indigenous sources of biochar of different pyrolysis temperature

Water-soluble inorganic pollutants may constitute an environmental toxicity problem if their movement through soils and potential transfer to plants or groundwater is not arrested. Biochar has recently been used to sequester carbon and remediate soil with both heavy metal and organic pollutants. The characteristics of biochar are influenced mainly by the preparation temperature and biomass sources. Biochars were produced from three different sources (viz., cow dung, poultry manure, and sewage sludge) at two different temperatures (low temperature - +250ºC and high temperature - +450º C).

Quantum mechanics and Indian philosophies: A contribution to the history and philosophy of science

Since 1930, we have speculated among the "harmony" between Quantum Mechanics and the Philosophies of India, though there has not been many studies on this subject. This research article aims to be a contribution to this purpose, describing three Quantum Physics experiments and interpret their results through the perspective of Indian Philosophies.

Building image in the airline industry. Pakistan international airline as the point of convergence

The present research paper examines the reasons of awful picture winning in aircraft industry of Pakistan particularly to a contextual investigation of PIA. Aircraft industry is an administration industry and administration quality is not effectively measured. An administration can have many traits including cost, esteem for cash, client administrations.

Effect of low energy laser on inflammatory markers and weaning in prolonged mechanically ventilated patients

Background: Mechanical ventilation is a life support treatment. Prolonged mechanical ventilation, defined as ventilation for 21 or more consecutive days with medical support. It has been shown to have significant effects on lung levels of inflammatory cells and soluble mediators. Low level laser therapy has become one of the most commonly used protocols in various physical therapy sub-specialties and cases. It has biostimulative and tissue regenerative properties as well as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Relationship between symmetrical versus asymmetrical bilateral knee osteoarthritis and lumbar curvature

Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a major health problem worldwide that affects lumbar spine. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between symmetrical versus asymmetrical bilateral knee OA and lumbar curvature in patients with knee OA. Subjects: Sixty male patients with knee OA were selected from outpatient clinic of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University. Their ages ranged from 40 to 54 years old, with a mean value of 48 ± 3.59 years old.

Metaphysics of food: improving health by reconceptualising our relationship to food

The dominant paradigm within which we conceptualise our relationship to food has largely been based on the reductio-mechanist mode of inquiry. We relate to food commercially by deconstructing it into identifiably fundamental components which can be replicated by reconstructing them chemically into synthesised products for commodification which imitate the living things in nature they once were.

Evaluation of differnt oat varieties for green fodder and seed Production yields

Oats are grown for use as grain as well as forage and fodder, straw for bedding, hay, silage and chaff. The study was conducted with the objective to find out the suitable variety of oat for getting maximum fodder seed yield and fodder. A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of ‘2016 to ‘2017 at Chiplimaf arm; Sambalpur (Odisha). The experiment consisted of three varieties of oat (Kent, JHO-822 and RO-19). The results showed that the Kentvariety produced highest number of tillers/m2, plant height.

Assessment Of Heavy Metal In Spring Water, Of Rabat-Sale-Zemour–Zaer Area (Morocco)

The quality of groundwater has in recent years undergone some deterioration because of uncontrolled liquid or solid urban waste, intensive use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture and its disorderly exploitation groundwater. It is, with this objective in mind, that the present study is to conduct a sampling campaign for a quantitative assessment of trace metals (Pb, Cu, Cd and Cr). The samples were collected between March and June 2010, 51 springs distributed over the study area sources.

A critical approach towards shadbhava in knowledge of genes

Bhava is the first point of origin and development of embryo and fetus. Bhava (shadbhava) works as biological factors that able to determine the qualities of the offspring. About the detail of Bhava was richly found in Samhitas but the application how it works has to be understood as its working area is not as per modern parameters. In today’s era we have genetics and chromosomes that work on development of embryo in detail and their growth are also dependent on genes.

A single blind, randomized, placebo controlled, multicentric study comparing the efficacy & safety of rheumax capsules in the patients with mild to modarate rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic inflammatory disease affecting over 4,00,00,000 people in the world. RA is associated with significant morbidity including pain and disability. It does not just affect synovial joints but is a systemic disease affecting other organs. It is also associated with increased mortality.
