Objective: Implementing Robson’s Ten Group classification system (RTGCS) to analyze the caesarean section rate. Material and Methods: All pregnant women were categorized according to Robson’s Ten Group classification system.Thegroups with high caesarean rateswere targeted and efforts made to reduce the rate wherever possible.

Efficacy of ultrasound with laser to improve pain and disability in rotator cuff injury

Background: Rotator cuff injury is a major problem for rural as well as urban population and the rehabilitation plays an important role in decreasing pain and improve disability in the shoulder joint. Purpose of Study: To know the efficacy of Ultrasound Therapy and LASER therapy in the pain and disability management of rotator cuff muscles injury of the shoulder joint. Methodology: 20 male patients (10 in each group) were randomly recruited for the study. Group A is Ultrasound therapy whereas group B is LASER therapy for 5 days in a weak for four weeks.

This can adversely affect the health of the AC users, particularly respiratory system. The present study was done to compare the spirometric parameters of AC users with non users and to study the effect of duration of AC exposure on spirometric parameters.100 healthy, non smokers of age 25 – 50 yrs exposed to AC were selected as study group.

Although discovered early, syphilis is still a major health problem in many developing countries.There are few studies available on congenital syphilis from gulf countries including Oman.We described a 5 cases of congenital syphilis seen in tertiary care center the Royal Hospital, Muscat, Oman.

Aim: To study the maternal and perinatal out come in cases of past dates. Methodology: A cross sectional study was conducted for one year in the department of OBG in ACSR Medical College & General hospital Nellore. During this period total of 100 cases were randomly selected.

The effect of laser acupuncture vs electrical stimulation on patients with idiopathic bells palsy

Background: Bell's palsy is an acute facial paralysis with unclear etiology that results in weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the difference between the effect of Laser and (E.S) on facial nerve regeneration. Subjects and method:Thirty patients of both sexes with Bell's palsy were included in this study. The patients were assessed by nerve conduction study (NCV) and electromyography (EMG). The amplitude was recorded from frontalis muscle at affected and unaffected side.

Antihypertensive effect of rosuvastatin in normocholesterolemic hypertensive patients and its association with flow mediated dilation and oxidative stress

Ectodermal dysplasia (ED) is a rare heterogeneous group of inherited disorder that share primary defects in the development and functioning of two or more tissues derived from ectoderm like skin, hair, nails, exocrine glands and teeth. This disorder is usually congenital, diffuse and non-progressive. Till date more than 192 distinct varieties in this disorder have been recorded and described.
