The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak hit the world with unprecedented consequences on global health, economy and people’s lives. Going to work during this pandemic has placed frontline workers under immense and unprecedented pressure, putting their physical, mental and social well-being at risk.

Fires in the operating room are relatively rare and may be catastrophic. Most are mild, however, some result in severe damage, disfiguration and even death. All surgeries are at risk of fire specially in high oxygen concentration areas. Fires in the operating room can be preventable with adequate attention to oxygen supply. Jett Plasma Medical is a DC low-power electrocauter used in dermatology and ophthalmology for aesthetic treatments. Unlike other similar products, Jett Plasma covers a surface area of 1 mm2 per beam.

Introduction: A large proportion of the public in some countries are known to patronize the private sector for their health needs, and some users even consider these services to be more attractive. Objective: The study aims to explore the experiences and issues associated with private health service delivery among private health practitioners in Nigeria. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out among private health professional at two national events, using self-administered semi-structured questionnaires.

Background: Cataracts are among the main causes of blindness in middle- and low-income countries; however, their incidence has decreased in recent years due to an increase in cataract removable surgery (phacoemulsification). The anesthesia management for phacoemulsification has changed throughout the years; currently, most cataract removable surgeries are performed under topical anesthesia and intravenous sedation.

In the course of our long-term practice in the clinical application of the principles of systematic approach and those of Integrative Oncology we purposefully and gradually began to develop all available achievements of integrative biophysics. In 2018, after a long study period, we created the IPT & BPT method, which is a combined application of Insulin Potentiation Therapy and Biomagnetic Therapy with Magnetic Pairs. Introduction: Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of inferior heel pain which can be aggravated by biomechanical stress. Pain, decreased ankle mobility and weight bearing during walking can affect the individual’s functional performance. Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the long term effect of Myofascial Release Technique and Positional Release Technique on pain and functional ability in subjects with chronic plantar fasciitis.

Introduction: Nowadays, the role of the anesthesiologist during digestive endoscopic procedures has become indispensable for different reasons, among which stands out providing safety to the patient. There are different anesthetic techniques, intravenous sedation being the most common since it provides analgesia and decreases the state of consciousness, avoiding the somatic response of the patient during the procedure. Objectives: The purpose of this review is to explore the safety of deep sedation in the endoscopy room.

Background: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a therapeutic intervention utilized for patients suffering from cardio-respiratory failure. ECMO, the highest level of life support, allows for different perfusion strategies to temporarily support patients as they recover or to facilitate as a bridge to transplantation (heart or lung).(1)Patients receiving ECMO are at high risk for significant physical impairment and pose unique challenges for physical therapy.

This study focused on the Influence of training in special needs education in implementing inclusive education in lower grades primary schools. The study adopted a descriptive survey design to gather data. The location of the study was Awendo, Migori County, Kenya. The target population was lower grades primary teachers in the mainstream schools which have special units. Respondents were 37 in number that included one education officer, nine school heads, and twenty-seven lower grades primary teachers.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the most frequent complications of this infection include pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Hypoxemia and increased work of breathing are determining factors in adopting various non-invasive oxygenation therapeutic strategies in patients with COVID-19.
