The Expression of cytoglobin (cygb) in hypoxia fibrosis tissue with keloid as a model

Cygb is an O2 carrier protein expressed by fibroblasts. In fibrosis, hypoxia occurs as characterized by stabilization of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), which later form the HIF-1, a transcription factor for the expression of adaptation proteins (including Cygb). The purpose of this study was to obtain information about Cygb role in fibrosis hypoxia using keloid tissue as a model. This was an observational descriptive study using keloid tissue samples, and the preputium as control. Measurement of Cygb and HIF-1α mRNA expression by real-time RT–PCR.

Urban health and sanitation issues

The Water Institute at University of North California in 2015 provided its data in terms of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Performance Index and stated that India ranked at the 95th position which is worst than many developing countries. It is surprising to note that 18.6% of urban households don’t have proper sanitation and even the existing ones are not used properly. Inadequate sanitation facilities and improper disposal of human excreta leads poor personal hygiene. Thus, being educated it is our responsibility to address the concept of Sustainable Sanitation.

The aim of the current study was to determine prevalence of JAK2V617F mutation in Moroccan patients with MDS, and to compare characteristics of JAK2 mutation group to JAK2 wild type group.

Torquing auxiliaries – a review

Torque is the third key of the occlusion, described by Andrews in the year 1976 as the inclination of the dental crown antero-posteriorly in the anterior teeth and traversal in the posterior teeth. It is the force that gives the operator control over them movements of roots of teeth. It is a very important feature to be included. It is moment based on sheer stress that causes rotation and in orthodontics it is the bucco-palatal crown/root inclination of a tooth.
